As an rper here you are more than welcome to use Steel City as a backdrop for your rps. Cards will be held in Steel City and the OWC will move around from time to time to other cities and countries for cards. So, since this is the most dangerous city in the world remember that ANYTHING can happen in Steel City and because of that you need to know where you are if you intend to use Steel City for a basis for your rps. So here are some things to know.
Layout of the City
Steel City is an amalgamation of a lot of areas of diverse backgrounds and people. Overall you have a central area which is the business district. This is the core of the city where a majority of the offices for business dealings are. Mainly corporate offices that don't service people face to face for the main areas of business such as retail and banking and things of that nature. In the very CENTER of the city you have the standing tower of the OWC which once again has risen like a hawk watching the city and then smaller buildings all around it. One does not simply walk into the OWC offices without being invited, it has security that is top notch.
The North Corner of the city
The north of the city is the main recreation center of the city. Here you will find your clubs, movie theatres, and an ongoing carnival year round in steel city. Steel City is one of the few places lucky enough to have a small fun Park dubbed what else? "The Steel City Carnival". The carnival isn't the nicest place as people talk about being pickpocketed and their cars vandalized at times. They have it all such as a small golf park, some independent arcades that are almost a thing of the past. The most popular independent arcade is called "The Steel Barrel", long owned by a man who grew up in Steel City this arcade is the most popular hangout for teens looking to escape from the toils of school and whatnot. The Steel Barrel has turned into a dangerous place at times because some local gangs hang out there and the police are constantly breaking up problems. The clubs however in the North are a constant reminder of how it's done right and one club that has surived is the Free World Club named after the Free World Army which was acquired from Cory Farmer after the FWA basically swindled him out of it.
The South corner
The South Corner of the city is where you find the industrial center of Steel City. The factories, the refineries, the mills and such are all located here. Meat processing plants, steel mills, woodyards and all of the "blue collar" jobs are here. The South of the city is also where the docks of Steel City are as Steel City is not a landlocked city. The ports are constantly under observation and scrutiny as being a major center for black market goods coming into the city, narcotics and other things your mother told you to avoid. The docks aren't a place you really want to hang out at night as there have been people who went there for a walk on the pier and were never heard from again.
The East of the City
The East of Steel City is where you will find a majority of the low to middle income housing and apartments. A lot of the livable spaces are tall apartment buildings. The apartment buildings are sectioned off as you begin to drive in from the corners of the city you can see the difference in some neighborhoods. The more run down areas are in the beginning but as you tend to venture out towards the outer edge you get to the better areas and even the suburban housing developments towards the outward edge of the city. The East is home to a majority of the incorrigibles in Steel City as well. The notorious "Steel Street" is there and believe me, don't go there. Steel Street is the one street where there have been more carjackings, robberies, murders and just about any illegal activity you can find. You can't simply walk down that street if nobody knows who you are. Chances are you won't make it to the end. It has also been nicknamed "The Black Mile" because the street is actually one mile long with various alleys beside to duck in and out of. The police barely patrol the area, ambulances won't go there if someone is hurt in most cases and forget calling a cab. If you are looking for a fight then go there, if you are looking for some action then have at it. Just be careful what you ask for. Gangs have been known to swarm on anybody coming into the area. There is a popular run down pool hall there called Bee-Bee's. The place is rougher than a old west saloon. Try a quiet game of pool there if you like.
The West of the City
Every town has it's well to do areas. Every town has the places where the rich and the better off go. The West is this area. The West of the city is where it costs an arm and a leg to live. This area is darn near immaculate and clean. There are studio apartments, high rises and low rises, nice neighborhoods and developments. Homes that start in the low 400,000 range to the 5 million plus mansions and villas that some of the top people and business moguls reside in. "The Imperial Golf Park" is the golf course where the playboys play and the location of the fantastically lush "Diamond resort". There you will find home to one of the swankiest restaurants in the known world called what else? "Diamonds". 5 star and top of the line. Nobody pulls up to that place in anything less than a limo. You have to be exclusive to get in. The mansions are located in the countryside at the farthest edge overlooking the city, there are lush hills and even a private park that is privately owned for the better off to go romp and play. Strangely enough a lot of problems don't happen here but they can, depending on who visits at whatever time of the day they want.
Other places to be aware of
The Subway
Steel City has a subway that runs under the city and there are rumors that there are some corridors that have been closed off that are home to some "skeletons" so to speak. The subway is one of the main modes of transportation in the city but not at all safe. Word of advice, don't go there dressed well and don't go there with a wallet and you will be fine in most cases. There are a lot of easy targets in the subway so just watch your back. Some have to fight to get in and fight just to make it off the train in one piece. There have been reports of people walking up to people and punching them in the face for no reason.
Brahman's ball park
Named after old man Brahman, the closed ball park is home to a lot of homeless people who sleep in the stands and some of the abandoned areas. A lot of criminals actually go there to discuss plans and some gangs go there and settle their problems. It is a blood stained place due to numerous battles that happen there and most people who have a grudge to settle go there to end it. There have been many reports of stand offs and illegal fights happening in Brahmans that people will bet on. Why the authorties don't shut it down is a mystery. However, if you are paid off in the first place why do it?
Again the rest is left up to you but feel free to talk about any of these places in your rps if you feel like you need to.
The OWC
The OWC was once a figurehead for a huge underground scheme of people who were are part of the new world order. (check website for full story) However, to make this very short a man called Madman was defeated and after that the ashes were picked up and the OWC moved on. There came a new day where WRESTLING was again the order of the day and the OWC is about pushing a superior product. This doesn't mean things won't get out of hand with the bad guys in town.
The Supreme Overlord
This is a mantle that at one time gave the Supreme Overlord worldwide power over all federations. The OWC believed that there could be ONLY ONE WORLD CHAMPION. So the Supreme Overlordship became a mantle of power and no world champion could ever say he was above the SO (Supreme Overlord). Things have changed but the SO is STILL recognized the worldwide as the epitome of champions. People respect him wherever he goes and the Supreme Overlord has the power to basically call the shots in the OWC still. The OWC wanted the focus to be on the wrestlers. Not some yahoo in the back office coming out for camera spots trying to play the evil dictator. The Supreme Overlord can control matches, control where the cards are held and choose the venue and even name the event itself. The SO can even control what match you compete in if he so wishes. The Supreme Overlord can also set the mode of competition he can make things sportsmanlike or make things wild and uncontrollable. It is he who is the core of the OWC. In Steel City however the Supreme Overlord is revered and in many places he is given more respect than anyone in the place. Such is the way of the world. The Supreme Overlord cannot deny challenges however it would be seen as cowardice if he was challenged and did not accept. It would shame the title.
What this means is that it's not a good idea for you to come out and ever do any rps where you are talking about "The Prez" or having conversations with "The Prez" the OWC does not have our shows set up like that. There is no vince mcmahon type coming out calling shots and taking spots. If you need something done then you should refer to the Supreme Overlord in your rps. Of course you should ask permission to use him before doing it just as you would if someone wanted to use you in their rp. The Suprme Overlord is the power in the federation.
OWC Current path....(where we are now)
This is to help you understand the parts of our many year history..our board is not as old as the fed...
As it came to pass, for all of you former OWCers you all remember the beginning of where many of you came in, the era of the days of the hopeful heroes are gone. A worldwide scheme to take over the world by one called "Madman" ended. It all ended with his propsed end on a plane as Necron, the scourge of the living world, the grim harvester went on. The pazzing of age after age 1st, 2nd, and 3rd led to new opportunities and a new time. They all lived through it, the greats of the past the pazzing of the Free World Army a more powerful force than the corporation EVER was more or less ended. Names such as Joshua Delevega, arguably the greatest technical mat tatician to this day, 8 ball the most loyal and hungry of them all, The Force Dealers...LEGENDS in tag team wrestling and many more. All was well as it would seem that things had gotten back to some form of normalcy. Yet, things remained the same even though they changed. Steel City was STILL home to the offices of the OWC even with the destruction of the OWC Tower nonetheless and once again seemingly indestructible himself, the notorious Big Daddy Diamond with his legendary tag team henchmen TGD rose to power to be at the helm of control of the SCWF. Some friendships because of this were remade as even though he served under the helm of a top solider of the Free World Army, 8 ball and Diamond continued to do business. Other changes happened as well and as you remember, 8 ball after capturing numerous belts in the OWC, holding every title at one time or other finally realized his dream of being OWC Supreme Overlord and world champion. This was not without disdain from his competitors as the hunger for the top spot was not ignored. To coin a phrase "the big heats" were about to break out to bring 8 ball down. There were men such as Joshua Delevega and others such as Doomsday, Dealer of Death, G Force, Chris Toxic and a slew of others who would have liked to bring 8 ball down. This story isn't about him as you may think but just to spark your memory a bit so you know the next chapter.
The OWC, which turned away from days of madmen and world power figures never left it's cooperation with the underworld as Diamond was known to pazz through those worlds. Money and power was always the order of the day and Steel City for better or worse will always be a cornerstone of the OWC as it was the birthplace for the ages that pazzed. Necron was not dead and Diamond had began to sink his hooks back into Steel City again. All the trials of the world, letting the Free World Army get off legally scott free allowed for this man who many see as guilty of tons of crimes walk free. To coin a phrase "he is that d**n good" and he not only freed himself from legal troubles but allowed for many men who wouldn't be wrestling now to compete had it not been for him. However, as things were rolling along and 8 ball had captured the World Title there were powers that be that wanted a return on their investments who wished for Diamond to remember that he was part of a vast network of powerful people who had been a part of the madman situation and had allowed for Diamond to become who he is. Overall a deal went bad. There were invisible people that wanted to go in a different direction overall and wanted Diamond to "play along". Being an untouchable figure for so many years seemed to leave Diamond. A figure in the underworld who felt screwed out of things that he felt were due to him threatened to go the feds and reveal information that would lead to indicting Diamond after so many years of schemes and burying problems. Diamond, knowing how to deal with problems such as this did what anybody would have done, he basically set out to silence this person before any evidence could be found. Something happened however that even Diamond was suprised about. The person was eliminated before Diamond ever had a chance to get involved yet with the wheels turning already and feds starting to snoop once again in the business dealings of Diamond an order was put through the authorities to shut the OWC down but even that got a bit worse as time went on. It would seem that the "crooked cop" syndrome was the order of the day and the investigators who were trying to shut down the OWC were trying to silence Diamond as well. Diamond survived an azzazzination attempt and the destruction of the OWC offices in Steel City. Arson and sabotage brought down OWC operations as many things were destroyed before they could ever have been saved or recovered. Computer files, award plaques, things of history and things of the future and this sent Diamond and the OWC into a state of hibernation. A majority of the wrestlers were questioned about things, some threatned with arrest if they didn't talk and champions were removed from their position of power. It was a horrible time as many were forced to resign and seek work elsewhere against their will and some endured attacks by unseen forces when they had nothing to do with anything that Diamond had brought on the OWC.
Many would wonder what happened to the grim harvester during this time and as he had claimed to walk the earth for hundreds of years, he became the caretaker of many souls and disappeared conviently during all of this. His views on what he wished Steel City to become with Diamond and he working hand in hand had stopped for the most part however, his invasion into minds and building his followers never ceased. It is unknown if Diamond and the Grim Harvester shall reunite and if they do one of the most destructive forces known to man shall walk the earth again and many hope that it won't happen. The main question now is what of the OWC after all of this? That question has been answered, Diamond has resurfaced once again and in Steel City nonetheless and amazingly had preserved the OWC Titles which were one of the few things he was able to protect as all of this happened. The OWC is back in business and Diamond has been able to "cover" his tracks. For how long remains to be seen as now the businessman has to restart anew and rise from the ashes as we get back to the business of wrestling and bringing a superior product to the mainstream once again.
Make no bones about it though, Steel City hasn't changed, it is still a lawless, dangerous place which is where our story centers around. You can still get robbed, attacked and fall into corruption in many places in the city. It is the most dangerous city in the world and those who reside there know it. If you want to survive then know that Steel City is not for the weak, it is for the strong and the cold...
Rage...
As you know through the genius of Big Daddy Diamond a new substance has been marketed in Steel City, for more info on the creation of it check the CD board and also the card to see the first introduction of rage. This post will explain it in terms you can understand and so you can know how it works..
Rage is a chemical substance that attacks the adrenaline areas of the body, this leads to some interesting changes. Rage itself has a chemical compound that does resemble everyone's favorite white power on the streets which I wont name here but what if you could isolate the benefits of that substance and amplify it to make it work with the body so the user gets a high as well as become a better and more effective person at the same time?
Rage unlike most hallucinogenic substances does NOT cause visions or hallucinations, rage does affect the sight a bit but it makes the sight sharper by causing changes in the optic nerve and changes in the size of the pupil. It is almost like what you see when your eyes are dilated by the eye doctor, wide open with more light coming in but without the blurring in the whole field of vision. Rage gives you a sharp center of vision just slightly blurred on the outer edges, this helps the "Rage Focus" because whatever is in front of you is what you are concentrating on and you hone in...
Now Rage also changes brain chemistry rather fast, this in turn is one of the reasons it makes the user so powerful. Rage relases the subconscious lock on the mind that would tell a person what they can or can not do physically. As you know even when you work out or when you exercise or lift a weight you tend to slack off if you feel something is too heavy or you become "careful" if you think its heavier than you can lift or you can't do that last lap. Rage keeps you from thinking that way so you can go full bore and release your body's potential and turn you into a more productive and physical specimen than you would normally be. Rage makes you believe that you can go all night or you CAN basically do anything...which of course is a downfall but we will get into that later..
When rage is ingested by either inhalation or injection or INGESTION (drinking it) it is absorbed NOT digested which most people may not understand. Most liquids you ingest of course are mainly absorbed through the digestive tract, while rage is absorbed through the tissues and through its absorption it goes to work the second it bonds with the human bloodstream therefore circulating and going where it needs to go to give you the result that you need. Yet, because it is designed to release the adrenaline in the body the lymphatic system, the nervous system, the spinal colum and of course the memory centers and cerebral cortex of the brain are all hit the hardest.
Rage is like an open door. It ALLOWS you to release more and more adrenaline than you ever could without you having to do it. It attacks the area of the brain that deals with emotions and since we all know the most powerful emotion is anger, the chemical compound flows there fast getting the user emotionally unstable to push them past their limits. In a way rage is like taking off the barriers and once that happens the flood of chemical changes is so violent that a person technically has no choice BUT to get angry...and once they do, there basically is no stopping them short of killing them really...
Rage does not make you impervious to pain but instead it shuts down the pain receptors in the body that makes you realize what pain is. Be mindful it is totally possible for you to get a broken arm or get cut while on rage and not "feel" it but when you come down...you will probably hate the day you were born...
Human physiology has a lot to do with how Rage works as well. It can make you more powerful but the more powerful you are the more powerful rage can be. The body has to be able to handle a certain amount of stress through muscle conditioning and the like. So in essence a person who is not in shape who takes rage may get the same effect but may not stay on the high as long or be as strong as say a bodybuilder would be on it. Rage is a smart drug, very smart, it knows almost how much the person can do even if the person does not know and you can burn yourself out faster than some people could on rage...so be mindful. There will be no 120 pound people slamming elephants and the like on rage it doesn't make you SUPERHUMAN but you are way way stronger than you would normally be...
Rage also quickens reflex time and reaction time and awareness. When taking rage you are so aware of what is around you, you hear better, you detect movement and you can run faster and swing faster and harder. So in theory it would be possible to say that an untrained person in martial arts would be able to keep up with someone the speed of a oh...Tony Ja or Jet Li and block punches and strike with them. Rage however does NOT enhance your fighting skills, if you dont have it in you then it does not happen. Yet a martial artist on rage would be...well..deadly...he's already fast as hell and increase that on rage and you better call out the national guard to stop him..
Now, to get into the downside of Rage..
Rage totally destroys the memory of the person. It does not destroy all memory but immediate memory of the events o the past 48 hours are in jeopardy when using rage. Once a person comes down from rage they are depleted and in some cases disoriented but here is the smart thing about rage...it burns itself OUT of your system so any toxicology reports are totally useless after rage runs it's course. The body thnks rage is adrenaline itself hence one of the main reasons it absorbs it so well ..the body thinks rage is SUPPOSED to be there and unlike most chemical substances Rage is WELCOMED into the system instead of rejected...
Volume Depletion should be expected when coming off of rage. Rage does make you sweat and it makes you burn up energy though pushing you to the limits at the same time. You are going to need something to drink when you come down and your fluid levels could be so low that you could go into shock if too much fluid is lost. Some rage users depending on their physiology could have huge puddles of sweat upon their clothing ...
Rage also causes a person to go into what is called "ragefall", on the streets the term has become popular because once rage is done with you , the body just DROPS and you can pass out or fall out anywhere..
Rage as we said before kills pain but once you come off it your nervous system attacks you and does so violently. So if you did something to cause yourself pain such as get hurt for the first hour after coming off rage you wil be in more pain than you ever dreamed of. There is nothing the person can do but lay there and shake and grit their teeth. Some say it is a burning sensation or the 'rage scream" as they hear so loudly it is like everything is screaming at them.
Nausea is common after coming off rage. Now when the body is low on fluid the abdomen tends to hurt. This leads many people into thinking that they are hungry when the body wants water. Users who are done with rage normally feel so queasy they can't really eat a thing after rage is done with you, you are so sick you might just throw up and you had better hope you don't. One of the most dangerous things about rage is that the volume depletion and lack of fluids already could send you into shock. Throw vomiting on top of that meaning you EXPEL a majority of the fluid you have left as well as the pain and stress it puts on the body and the kickback is so bad you could find yourself in a coma that you could not return from. Throw up and your head, back, abdomen and legs are all burning past tolerable levels...the shock going to the mind causes the body to try to defend itself and the only way is total shutdown. When that happens the coma could creep in and if it does that could be the last time you speak to anybody else...
Addiciton levels are also the dangerous thing about rage. People want to continue to want that poweful feeling. When you are on it, you are on top of the world and you can do more but you want to do it again and too much rage could lead to taking too much of it at one time which is dangerous. The more rage you give a person the more unstable they could become and depending on how they are made you could get a lunatic or an uncontrollable monster that would kill his best friend and not even remember he did it...
(Use at your own risk)

The OWC Event Staff and other non rp characters…
Announcers:
Iceman Thomas-Iceman Thomas is a retired NFL player. He was a great up until the late 90’s. He joined the RRWF back in it’s heyday and has been the play by play man for the federation since the RRWF, SCWF and OWC. It’s always been Iceman at the helm. He is a FACE reporter, always looking to support the good guys but at times will call it like it is. He doesn’t sway in his opinions objectively too much. He leans towards the good guys and believes there is good in all people. If you are a heel and you turn to be a face he supports you and at times acts like you never did anything wrong.
Sam Steele- A short guy about 5’5. Talks a lot of junk, at times tries to be funny though most people don’t get his jokes. He is the color commentator, he supports the HEELS or the bad guys if you will. Sam will talk bad about anybody even if they are bad guys. He calls a spade a spade in most cases. He will take payoffs to say anything you want. Sam also has a better knowledge of moves than Iceman does and normally show that during the broacasts.
Backstage Reporters:
There are three in the OWC, their job is to get information for the fans, get interviews and they can be used at will in any rp if you wish to include them.
Jim Irons- Middle aged guy, the so called “senior” backstage reporter, he at times asks the hard questions but also asks the questions that are borderline disrespectful. Kind of like what a boxing commentator asks. Questions like why don’t you quit, do you realize how bad you are in the ring? Things that people who have never done it should not say. He’s the proverbial know it all but doesn’t know he doesn’t know it all. Most OWC Wrestlers want to knock him out and HAVE on certain occasions.
Tom Quick- The college intern guy, he’s been around the OWC for a while and one day will go from intern to full time reporter. He asks questions that are relatively stupid and he has no idea they are stupid to ask. He asks questions that has wrestlers looking at him like “what?”. He is known to throw a totally OFF the wall questions in an interview that wrestlers find strange. He does decent ones from time to time however.
Djora Milaje- She is an African American woman who has been around the OWC for a while, she has interviewed nearly everyone and doesn’t really press for any of the hard questions. She has shown an “attitude” at times during questioning but other than that stays cool. She really has no preference for good guys or bad guys, she interviews them both the same way.
The Supreme Guard-The protectors of the OWC Supreme Overlord. They protect whomever the Supreme Overlord is at the time. They have allegiance only to who the world champion is. So, lose the belt they go to the next champion. They have been used for attacks on wrestlers but they are to defend the life of the Supreme Overlord since he is one of the most important men in the world. Normally they escort him to the arena and at times in some cases have lined the ramp and salute the SO while he comes to the ring. They are only there if the Supreme Overlord wants them. Most Overlords have wanted them there due to the violent nature of the environment on the streets of Steel City and in the arenas. They can be used in rps as you like if you choose to talk about them.
